Materials provision using eKanban system with wireless tilting sensor
For the automated supply of materials to assembly points and workstations in production halls and intralogistics applications, roller conveyors within eKanban racks are fitted with intelligent wireless tilting sensors. If a sensor registers the removal of a small load carrier (SLC) from its rack shelf, a request for replenishment is automatically triggered in the material flow control system. This in turn triggers an order of new materials, without any need for manual activity – and provision is oriented exclusively to real requirements.

Dolly monitoring in material supermarkets with wireless sensors
In production logistics, the supermarket serves as an interim warehouse for articles which will be needed in upcoming production steps. Since increasingly flexible production processes are making advance long-term planning of demand more and more difficult, the state-of-the-art factory solution is to monitor the dolly hubs inside the supermarket. Intelligent wireless sensors automatically detect when a dolly is removed from a hub or fed into a monorail track and communicate this information in real time, providing a digital visualisation of the stock. Requisitions are signalled automatically on the basis of preconfigured criteria, guaranteeing that the necessary parts are always available.

Non-contact monitoring of holding areas for large load carriers with wireless laser sensors
In production logistics, large load carriers (LLC) are required for the transportation of large and heavy goods. Particularly in the automotive industry, load carriers are often used to relocate large parts such as car bumpers or doors. Wireless laser sensors facilitate non-contact monitoring in holding bays, enabling the transport equipment to be coordinated with greater precision.

Location-independent wireless management of stack lights
The deployment of stack lights in shop floor logistics is an established measure for improving overall equipment effectiveness. The clear assignment of notifications to workstations is of huge added value because it ensures faster problem-solving on site, aids the detection of production bottlenecks and prevents stocked materials from running out. Wireless connection of signalling columns directly to the central IT system means that notifications can be visualised in real time, preventing production bottlenecks and material shortages.

Mobile Andon systems
If a malfunction in the production process occurs or is about to occur, it should be possible for factory workers to raise the alarm quickly and easily without having to leave their workstation and interrupt their work. Mobile alarm systems are therefore installed at workstations, facilitating simple and efficient communication with an Andon system. Error messages can then be displayed on Andon screens, for example, with the optional extra of direct feedback to the workstation in question.
