E-commerce continues to grow – and with it, the demands on logistics, deliveries, and returns. At Sesé Germany, this growth has led to a significant increase in customers operating entirely online from our locations. To meet these demands, we have digitized and automated all processes: EDI integration, goods receipt, warehousing, order preparation, shipping management, and connections to more than 200 international parcel services. The challenge: better returns management. But what is the solution? In collaboration with the IT team, an application was developed that digitizes the entire process. A Power Apps-based tool that fully automates returns management: Instant scanning: All package data appears immediately upon scanning the label. On-site quality control: Damage or discrepancies are documented immediately – including photos. Real-time integration into the WMS: All information is automatically sent to the system and to the customer – via email, file, or direct platform connection. Faster. More transparent. More precise. This new application eliminates manual processes, increases speed, improves data quality and enables full traceability for returns – thus guaranteeing the same level of excellence that we already offer for outgoing shipments.

Einkäufer (m/w/d) – Essen

- Responsibility for purchasing: You will independently manage and execute the operational and strategic purchasing of services and products in the logistics and automotive sectors. - Supplier management: You will identify, qualify, and support suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure optimal terms on a long-term basis. - Needs analysis: You will coordinate closely with specialist departments, review needs, and derive procurement measures from them. - Cost optimization: You will analyze market trends, optimize processes, and contribute innovative ideas to improve purchasing and supplier strategies. - Project work: You will actively participate in purchasing projects and cross-site initiatives. - Receiving and inspecting goods: You receive deliveries and check them for completeness and damage. - Picking and packing: You assemble goods according to orders and pack them securely for transport. - Storing and retrieving goods: You store and retrieve products and ensure clear warehouse organization. - Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment: You move goods safely within the warehouse using forklifts and other equipment. - Inventory control: You conduct regular inventories and assist with maintaining stock levels. - Teamwork: You work closely with colleagues and support them with all tasks that arise in the warehouse.
